Here is one set of my dancing snakes. I designed them as pairs with 3 poses, or configurations in mind for each set, although they look great single. They are solid brass with sterling silver eyes and tongue and a tiny silver ball set into the tip of the tail. My name and date are engraved on the bottom of each one.

The first 3 photos show the same pose from the front, side and back. The next one shows one of the many possible poses, then a group photo. I can supply additional photos from the top, different angles and close up views.

They are approximately 7.5” tall and 3” diameter at the widest coil. I used an annealing process to render the curves from hand shaped stock. The thickness is 5/16” maximum. They are polished to a mirror finish. Each one is unique. They are accurately shaped and proportioned in the likeness of my native green snake which is a very pretty and mild mannered reptile.

Although the group photo shows several of them “dancing” together this sale is for the far left set only. I have two sets left and will not be making any more. Thank you for looking.

I try to create what the eye could never see in real life, but that which could still be real in some ways. To stimulate the viewer’s imagination and pull things forward in the mind, I am a viewer, also. I seek balance. I use color and form to get there. Art is my aeroplane and color lifts my wings. Being an artist is not my primary occupation, but I’ve been producing art since I was a child. I seem to be driven to create - not just art but about everything in my life. There’s a saying that fits me pretty good. It goes like this. Most people, when asked, would say their destination is back home. My destination is forward.
