This work came about as part of my art for recovery collection and my hope to see us become kinder people who have empathy for those suffering pain through the fate of misfortune. Through tragedy and pain, I have learnt the gift of empathy towards others who are suffering. We do not have to learn empathy through hardships and loss - we need only to open our eyes to see. This work is made from solid British Elm wood and painted with high quality, Golden acrylic paints. All the wood is sourced from local sustainable, managed forests. The profile detailing is unique and original to my work. The artwork is final coated with a protective varnish that gives long term preservation. The artwork is fitted with a hanging bracket and a matching, easy fit bracket to fix to the wall.
