About The Artwork
The local seascape inspired the work. I am hoping the viewer feels the fluctuation and unpredictability of the natural world particularly local bayside and cliff faces. The dark clay body is ideal for conceptual expressionism and supports my ideology of working with the clay rather than assuming some form of authorship. A sculpture for the incredible malleability of clay and an emotional vessel for the artist.
