About The Artwork

The sculpture El Tôr, is inspired by the bell tower of a village in the north-east of Italy, in Friuli Venezia Giulia region. It is a sculpture built with various wood types—walnut, poplar, ash, oak, pine and tilia. The most part of the wood used to create El Tôr was ones used in other objects or pieces of furniture. Every piece of this sculpture is unique and has the marks and colors of its past use. El Tôr is made up of five main elements assembled or placed one on top of the other to create a perfectly poised sculpture. The base of the sculpture is a drawer.
