About The Artwork
Can Nature and Industrial progress entwine in harmony? The carved wood is from a broken limb from a tree and the heavy duty industrial electric wire are both from a construction site. I carved the wood and shaped the heavy wire so they could be entwined in compatibility, yet each keep its uniqueness. Is the wire attempting to break free? The fused glass base employed browns to represent the earth and reds to represent the wire which produces red lights of warning. What do you see and what do you feel? This sculpture is sure to generate some interesting comments.
