About The Artwork

Erich Bowl is the Part of the Collection Erich & Gutenberg. It is a Hommage on the Erich Gutenberg. He is considered the founder of modern German business studies after World War II. Gutenberg used microeconomy to explain the functioning of the enterprise. Therefore, he also developed a new production function. With a system of inputs and outputs under management control he explained how a firm could be efficient. The inspiration is the aesthetics of the factories, machines and production facilities. Erich looks like a industrial product that can only exist as art. The intention is to clarify and break the line between nature and production design at the same time. The strong surfaces produce an attractive interplay of light and shadow.
