Fish with a Twist Sculpture

A unique handcrafted fish from the beaches of Hawaii. This piece is crafted from date palm fronds collected from the north shore of Oahu. Each piece of palm frond is sanded, stained and varnished to preserve it’s beauty. Coral, stones, other parts of the palm trees, all can highlight and augment the basic forms. The fish conveys motion through the curves of the wood and embodies the of the ever moving ocean. Made in Hawaii, inspired by snorkeling, walking and a love of creating. Palm fronds all have marks that give texture when varnished and add texture to the piece.
