“Geological Column, What Lies beneath the unknown”, is a sculptural composition trying to portray the symbolic relationship between nature and human nature. The human existence finds itself among the layers created by nature and not being able to escape the common fade and destiny, by this avoidable coexistence, which piles through the centuries of archaeological storage. Maybe, we should not dismiss the notion that all nature is one. The sculptural layers consist of: The base where the element of spirituality is portrayed by handwritten poetry, pebbles, oyster shells, a human skull, seeds, driftwood and bones, complete the composition. A complicated Bronze needed 64 moulds contributing to its casting, with highly crafted forms and patinas and an exclusive experimental approach to the human skull where the foundry used for the first time a new technique (smoked silver) where real silver was fired on the surface of it. An accomplished artwork depicting the same destiny for nature and human nature. Appreciation, harmony and respect, is all it needs above the unknown, in order to find peace of mind beneath the unknown, one might say. The production of this bronze takes 3-4 months to complete and is a limited edition of 8 and weighs 65 kg
