The work "Geometric abstraction in yellow" is the result of the study of the female body making a model using the technique of relief used in medal art, resulting what I have come to call a sculptural frontality in the work. I have searched for the simplicity and perfection of the lines, the purity of a volume that seeks the sharpest abstraction of the idea. I have created numerous works linked with this idea based on abstraction, schematically representing the human body, thanks to its smooth surfaces, well-defined edges and the purity of lines: such as the work entitled "El Señorín", acquired by the Spanish National Museum of Sculpture, "Freedom", which is permanently exhibited in the Quiñones de León Museum, in the gardens of the Park Castrelos, in Vigo, Spain; or the piece awarded the Soho Sculpture Prize, and which is exhibited on Noel Street, in central London, piece entitled "Holon". These sculptures, like this one which has been exhibited in Sir Harold Hillier Gardens in 2019, present the same thread in terms of the type of modeling and the conception of the work. The work has been done by modeling in clay. It has been cast in plaster and the mold has been made in polyester to later pass to scale in polyester resin. It has been painted in yellow for its finish. It It has a metal base of 20 cm in height that serves for its foundation if it is exhibited outdoor.
