About The Artwork
Goldrush is inspired by the wildness of this "plasticene" era we live in. People have been thinking of plastics as disposable when they are precisely the opposite. The main ingredient in plastic is petroleum so there is a hidden value that most people fail to see in the material, mainly because of the false sense of abundance we've created with regards to cheap manufacturing of plastic. Goldrush is intended to remind us of the power we have as individuals to affect positive changes in the world by virtue of slowing down our every day, seemingly inconsequential choices for the betterment of ourselves and all creatures.
