The work is inspired by contemporary pop art. In a society that has so little soul, the skull represents the bones that are inside all we are. The skull also signifies death, and the rose symbolizes life, so the contrast of the two make up this work of art. It is a work of sculpture, and a work of the imagination. The medium and the subject matter come from my imagination.

I am a New York City artist who paints both abstract and figurative work. I studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art and now at the Art Students League of New York. My work is eclectic and draws inspiration from many sources, including Jackson Pollock, Milton Avery, and Kandinsky. I try to synthesize my vision of art into a single image.
