The term homo interior, or the inner entity was used by Saint Augustin in order to define the soul. According to his writings, the human body represents the perishable, ephemeral side, the soul being the one to govern the body. Plato’s writings confirm the idea that the body belongs to a spatial dimension, being characterised by a limited time and a defined space; the actual body standing for a physical shell, permanently submitted to changes and fastened within a delimited, temporary space. The souls, by its timeless feature, is a component part of eternity and non-perishability. In his dialogues with Plato, Socrates declared, before passing away, the following idea: “the soul is similar to what is divine, immortal (…), the body, overall similar with what is human, mortal(…), submitted to decomposition…” The whole existential route is a conflictual one, since it aims at a permanent fight between the human and spiritual side, the final purpose implying the victory of spirit and the final separation from everything implying the humane. Despite all that, I consider there is a tight harmony between the body and the spirit, over the period of human being’s travelling inside the womb and over the period close to birth. While the body starts to know and assimilate information, it is automatically and gradually habituated to its spiritual component part and thus a permanent conflict arises.
