Inspired by a poem from the American poet Emily Dickenson: 'Hope' is a thing with feathers That Perches in the soul, And sings the tune without the words, And never stops at all, The animal and figure represents the abstract idea of 'Hope'. The bird is perched on her hand as though it is perched on the soul of every human and sings , no matter whatever happens.
