About The Artwork

This sculpture is like my mirror. This is my self-portrait created from various materials, fabric, plastic, and something else. She is part of my global project. I portrayed myself in the best way, the best version of me. Lady in a hat with a rose and a veil. Mysteriousness and mystery. December 2020 h 165 w 55 It a one of the sculptures in the “Hyperrealistic Motanka” project. Its project of large installations with many sculptures. I’m also interested and inspired by the history of Ukraine, its past, customs and traditions. Therefore, a series of installations, “Hyperrealistic Motanka”, will be presented at the exhibition. Its “ Hyperrealistic Motanka” project, a traditional doll from ancient times. Motanka is a traditional doll that protects both the house and the child with its positive energy. I like to study and delve into history. Inspired by this part of the history of my country, Ukraine, I got the idea to create a full-length Motanka sculpture. Let it be even more powerful energetically than small and more noticeable. This project is also Eco friendly. These dolls-sculptures made from scrap materials that have become unnecessary at home and these are different clothes, plastic, polyethene, cardboard, etc. It is an ecological project for which, to create it, I bought the only adhesive tape in the store, I found everything else at home and in an art studio, which was recycled to cleanse our planet of pollution. This work carries a positive paired energy, Motanka sculptures are lovers—love, peace and goodness. Love will save the world! Let everyone enjoy this wonderful feeling.

I am Elena Bandurka Ukrainian Ultra Contemporary Artist. I make sculptures and installations from garbage. I converted things into something new and interesting, not only pure cannon and paint from the store, it has no space for me. And I still like to invest in every job. Art communicates with its viewers. Through art, it is possible to talk to people. My grandfather was in politics for a very long time, so I put my love for my country through my art. It is most of my inspiration through the prism of integration of the rethinking of ancient traditions from ancestors. I want to show the world that is interesting. In every country, there is something unique and interesting, something that is interesting to know. So I am interested in history and traditions, and folklore, and then there is a mix of everything in my head, and then, OP, I see a picture, I do not understand what I saw, and sometimes, the idea is going first, and I think Above her. Then I follow the picture, I see pictures, and then I think, and as I fill myself with the sculpture with lightness, it will be possible to swing it in me so that it is not heavy. And I do, hands do. Visualization works. And the idea, the content fills the product. Thank you for your time and attention. I hope to find a common interest with you. And have a nice day! Two of my sculptures from the new project December 2020. Since May 2021 are in the collection of the Museum of Ukraine in the Museum of the History of the City of Kiev One of my black&white photos, get Berliner Liste Special Edition during Berlin Art Week 2017, when I took part in an exhibition in Berlin. I like to work in eco-art and other types of a socially important genre of contemporary art. I am inspired by what is happening around us. Ideas like the lightning sparkle in me. Sometimes it’s not easy to immediately realize an idea, I like to combine unusual things and surprise. I want to draw attention to open questions, such as preserving the environment, by using unusual materials in my work, as well as how beautiful a woman’s portrait is in black and white shadow. I have many ideas, but my main goal is to tell people in an accessible and interesting language how important is the preservation of the purity of our ecology and beauty will save the world and love makes us wiser.
