As a child of a single mother i saw almost all the things an african woman without a husband goes through. i was inspired to create this sculpture piece through that. Being a single mother without support is one of the hardest jobs in the world. when she goes out there. all that she is thinking is what are they going to eat today. she put the children well being ahead of her own. and i know that for a parent that's is your responsibility. but come to think of something if she is taking care of you and know one is taking care of her. is that the best. i have see with my own eyes the dangers that come with being a mother with two or more children. the dangerous roads they pass through just to provide food on the table. the dangerous vehicles they enter on their trade adventures just to provide food on the table. the broken bridges they pass through just to make sure food is provided.the dangerous lakes they cross just to get food. everything they do is just about trading their life for their children. Being a mother is a blessing when you wants it but being is a single mother to me is something else. the style used was to combine wood and metal.female figure without hair is carved from the and the globe is made using metal sheet and quater rod. their is a also a natural fiber rope which is used to create bra and pants for the figure. the figure is holding a rope which she is using the carry the globe on her back of her neck. this piece of work was carved a teakwood and the finishing given is painted and partly sanded and the sprayed with Automotive lacquer.

Am a sculptor who deals with wood and metal combination (assemblage) to create a sculptures. My philosophy about my works is TOGETHERNESS. Togetherness because when people come together to help each other, something beautiful is always created. Because of this, I decided to use two different materials (wood and metal) to create sculptures. This two mediums has nothing in common and yet I combine them to create sculptures. I think about quality conscious, I play well with others, self-motivated and hardworking. When producing a piece I make sure that all my concentration is on that piece so that it will come out well. Sometimes I ask for opinions on the piece of producing and I make sure that whatever idea or advice I receive I consider it. When friends comes to me about ideas and advice I also do my best not to disappoint them. Distinctively, I sometimes think about people needs before my own and time consciousness, professionalism is something I do not play with.
