Looking for Emily Sculpture

The text in the work was directly taken from a Craigslist post. I have been lurking on the Missed Connections board for years, fascinated by the stories each and every one of them have. It becomes endless when imagining who the people are behind the screen and what kind of life they're living. It is a shame that these posts get deleted automatically after 30 days, and with everything else on the web as well, the world we see and create through digital screens won't be accessible in the distant future, let alone in the next few years; think about the struggles you have to go through to find the pictures you took on your last flip phone. We can find hints of how our ancestors of thousands of years ago lived with artifacts made from stone. But what will our generation leave for the future generation? Will they be able to look at our Facebook pages and figure out about us? Probably not.
