About The Artwork
The artist creates an exciting contrast between artistic intervention and naturalness in his series of works "mirrors": The artist separates the stone in the middle and polishes the cut surfaces inside. He then sandblasts the two opposing surfaces with different structures that complement each other as positive-negative surfaces. The complementary halves can thus be brought back together to form the original boulder, whereby the external shape of the stone is preserved.
