ABOUT THE ARTWORK

A monumental columnar body - "Monototo no.2" Hand-formed aluminum fields covered with Indian ink are formed into cubes and cuboids using a specially developed process and riveted, then - following the tension structure of the body - pressed in, beaten and further transformed. After this rather aggressive act, the structures come to a relaxed calm. Something that is otherwise hidden under the externality of the structure is set in the open through this transformation. Only then are the individual forms combined into a whole - a massive, free-standing column. The final polish creates bare aluminum structures and surfaces from the underlying tension structure. The work thereby passes into its perfect effectiveness. Thanks to the natural oxidation layer of the aluminum, this mysterious mood is permanently preserved. The sculpture weighs 17.5 kg, is signed with the initials cR and dated on the underside.

SHIPPING AND RETURNS
Delivery Time:

Typically 5-7 business days for domestic shipments, 10-14 business days for international shipments.

Robausch's wall-objects and freestanding sculptures are built with manually formed aluminum. Every single step in the creative process are made by hand which gives his artworks timeless depth and a unique appeal. Most of his sculptures have a lightweight, stable supporting core enclosed by an aluminum shell. The aluminum surface of his new artworks is painted with iron pigments and is encouraged to rust. Robausch stands outside of the traditional art business. He prefers to explore how to transform the energy and mood of his physical artworks into short digital animations. His specially developed scripts unlock open spaces and times for his art.
