The female torso sculpture titled, "Ms. Maple" was created by William Braemer in 2014. In creating this Romanesque type sculpture, William was inspired by the provocative female Greek Goddesses. The sculpture consists of a skeletal structure whereby successive layers upon layers of Canadian Coin (Canadian Pennies) are fused together with resin and epoxy creating this life-like voluptuous female body. This particular sculpture is a one of a kind with no copies made, and is of significance due to the fact that the sculpture is made with approximately 16,000 pieces of Canadian Coin - Pennies. The Canadian penny has been discontinued by the Royal Canadian Mint. Given the fact that the sculpture has been created using Canadian Pennies, the title of the sculpture is "Ms. Maple" - "Maple" being a homage to the Canadian National symbol/tree - the Maple Tree. This sculpture has recently been on exhibition throughout Italy, London England, Paris France, Monaco and Tokyo's Metropolitan Museum of Art.
