About The Artwork
Myfanwy is a Welsh love song written by Joseph Parry in 1875 which was the inspiration for the work. A beautiful, proud, elegant woman who draws the viewer to look at her. Solid bronze was chosen for her strength. The deep blue of the semi precious stone Lapis Lazuli depicts the depths of her love.
