Ornament of Forgotten Ancestors ( yellow) Sculpture

Techniques: painting with "hot" enamels, "fusing", "mollio".   Material: colored glass. Triple firing at 850 degrees Celsius. Authentic ornaments of the Trypillian culture are used in the painting. (Archaeologist Vikentiy Khvoika discovered the first Trypillian settlement in 1893-1894 in Kyіv (Ukraine). He presented his findings in August 1899 at the XI Archaeological Congress in Kуiv. Arising earlier than Sumer, Egypt, China (about 7000-5000 years BC), Trypillian ornaments are the initial phases of the origin of writing, only unlike Sumer, in the Trypillian culture this phase did not pass into the complete writing system, but remained at the prototype level - information transmission through pictograms, signs, drawings. I used the symbolism of wealth, irrigation of crops and the trinitarian view, the flow of time, and ancestors' memory. The peculiarity is that the ornament itself is "inside" the glass. The ornament seems to be under a layer of time, it is barely perceptible to read from any side, but it is perfectly visible against the light. I wanted to show the “invisible” presence and influence of people who lived thousands of years ago through such technique. On the reverse side, the author's monogram and the year are smelted on the glass
