About The Artwork
This is a unique slab made earthenware dish. The pattern on the surface is random dots of three or more colours overlaid. The red glaze has been applied over splashes of blue and orange which can be seen through the textured surface. On the reverse of the dish the glaze is a high gloss black glaze which has been extended to some of the edge of the dish and this has created an interesting effect where the black has bled into the red. The dish can be stood on a plate stand or, with the appropriate fixing, hung on a wall.
