About The Artwork
I became interested in paper sculpture recently after looking at the beautiful work of Peter Dahmen. Although he has an architectural graphics style to his work, which look like engineering projects, it made me realize how many three dimensional shapes can be made just by using a piece of paper, sharp knife and making folds, bending and shaping curves and using a stapler. Because paper bends so easily, compared to metal, it lends itself to making sculpture.
