About The Artwork

I first discovered the paper sculpture of Peter Dahmen, which introduced me to the sculptural possibilities of using paper. Although his work is based on architecture graphics, and his works are like engineering projects, it introduced me to the idea of using paper. It is amazing how a single, flat piece of paper can be made into an infinite variety of three dimensional shapes, and the possibilities are endless, and works can be made quickly, with curves and inside out shapes that would take weeks to make out of metal, assuming one is a blacksmith, with a large workshop and many power tools.

I am a New York City artist who paints both abstract and figurative work. I studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art and now at the Art Students League of New York. My work is eclectic and draws inspiration from many sources, including Jackson Pollock, Milton Avery, and Kandinsky. I try to synthesize my vision of art into a single image.
