This sculpture is to a large extent an experiment on the relationship between form and graphic imagery. It's a slow-speed explosion of shapes and colors. The large wooden form erupts into a crown of shape, color and movement. The sculpture should enliven any space it is placed in, providing a vital focal point for contemplation.
Most of the curvilinear shapes are hollow steel forms made from sheet metal, and TIG welded. The metal parts are primed, painted with acrylic paint, and then finished with several coats of dead flat UV inhibitor. Enjoy.
