The art works of Olesіa Dvorak-Galik, the Ukrainian ceramist, present a synthesis of the philosophic art objects, which are combined by the conceptual problematics. Overall expressivity of the art works created by the artist has been formed by the vanguard forms, décor and various textures. Into the composition structure of the art works Olesya incorporates space, as well as combines surfaces and volumes. In terms of genre, Olesia’s art works usually include the abstract and installation compositions along with the sculpture ceramics and landscape sculpture. The ceramist typically creates her art objects using geometric repeat compositions, which are ultimately formed from a single module used in various configurations. To decorate her special compositions, Olesia often combines ceramics with other materials, such as metal, wood, textile etc. Olesia Dvorak-Galik mainly applies the following decorating techniques for her ceramic art works: painting (glazing), relief (plastic and texture décor) and her original techniques. When decorating the ceramic art works, Olesia has been often inspired by geometric stylized motives, geometric surfaces of versatile shape and colour, anthropomorphic and abstract floral motifs. The polychromic structure, which is created by bright colours combined with complex colour shades, is inherent in the art works by Olesia. Olesia was born on 8 March 1977 in Uzhhorod, Ukraine.
