About The Artwork
Appears to be a dumbell shaped crystal or agate ,found at the newly discovered ancient mound site located at Brandywine ,MD. Matapeak Business Drive. The eye of Birdman was pecked in by first American Artist also many other spots show alterations to the glass to create the Birdman. The shape is the Serpent Quetzalcoatl ,a serpent with a lion head meaning ,King of Earth ,We see Birdman's right arm in the mouth of the Serpent ,left arm a bird wing symbolic of flight .The King holds both in his hands ,power over earth and sky ,it is also the shape of the Serpent and a Vulture head 334 grams. Found by me in a creek near the mounds.This sculpture is part of the "Pleistocene Art of North America Series " by Dotson .
