Szekler traditional art techniques in contemporary sculpture. In the last century, a group of szekler Hungarians separated from the territory of Bukovina during the emigration. They settled in South Banat and lived almost in isolation from others Hungarian villages. It affected them like a sort of time capsule. The events archived the identity of the former population of Bukovina, preserved the archaic language and some of the traditional arts. The creativity of the minority, however, developed in an unexpected way. The analysis of rural arts from there territories could be helpful when it comes to answering the question how to preserve the szekler art from kitsch, and how to advance it further, because at this moment the existence of szekler culture in South Banat district is endangered. In my work I research the phenomenon of migration and its consequences, then the development of rural art. Can a community retain its ethnic identity of it forgets its own traditions? The work originated from the idea of realizing an "impossible" project. The idea was "impossible" not only because of the time and conditions in which it is done, but also because of technical problems. For example the necessary type of canvas is rare.
