About The Artwork

Made of ultra-fine white kaolin extracted from a mineral rock of the clay family. The word kaolin derives from the Chinese Gaoling 高岭 and means high hills, referring to the region where it was discovered in the 18th century. The model is then extracted from the mold and finished by hand. The technique we adopt provides a drying time of over 48 hours, after which it is placed in the oven for a first firing. Firing is carried out by bringing the product from 0 to 980 ° C in a time of 15 hours which contribute to vitrification, improve resistance and stability, and reduce the porosity of the material. The next 15 hours are necessary for a slow and constant natural cooling in the environment. Each element is then hand-glazed with glossy, opaque, or crystalline enamel depending on the model, and placed in baking at 970 °C for vitrification. For the first series of ceramics, glazes of pure majolica white, ultra-clear pink, burgundy red, jade green and pine, beige, cornflower blue were chosen. Design and direction of the production by Claudio Bettini. All models are produced in Faenza by the greatest masters of ceramics. The shape and design with minimal lines qualify it as a style element that completes the look of the house. They are recommended as a significant element that brings elegance to the home, placed in the center of the table or on the living room furniture. Also perfect as a refined and refined gift, to be remembered in a special way.
