About The Artwork
This rooster is made of different colors glass. It's a kiln casted sculpture . I made several roosters in glass but always different colors. It's casted in a open mould that means the backside is flat.It will be 5 days in the kiln. I chose this kind of kilncasting so the glass will be more transculent and the most important I have more control of the movement of the colors. The base of the sculpture is black natural polished stone

Hanneke Pereboom is a Dutch artist who has exhibited and sold her collections in both th Netherlands and abroad since 1996. Hanneke started as a sculptress, but decided in the absence of colour to expand her artistic horizon. As a real auto-didactic. Hanneke taught herself to work with different tecniques and materials, which has led to astonishging paintings and different art works made from glass. Hannek lives and work in her own studio in Oudehorne, the Netherlands where she also provides workshops and classes.
