An Italian sonnet “sestet” is the last six lines of a sonnet in the Italian form. This compares to a Spenserian sonnet SESTET – ‘Last 6 lines in a sonnet’; which has 8 or an octave. My Picasso Marble sculpture has six points marking the turn of emotion. It reminds me of the Italian poet Petrarch, who used it first. Picasso Marble was named by geologist David Penny in 1988. Because of its colorful veining he thought it looked like Picasso had painted it. Don’t you think this stone should be called “Pollock” or “Jackson”?
