This work is inspired by artists from the 1970s who used thread and needles to make art. The geometry makes a reference to the mathematical underpinning of our universe. It is meant to engage the viewer with a sense of geometric purity underlying all things. It is made of thread and pins, on a styrofoam board. Although there are curves in the artwork, it is made from a pattern of straight lines.

I am a New York City artist who paints both abstract and figurative work. I studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art and now at the Art Students League of New York. My work is eclectic and draws inspiration from many sources, including Jackson Pollock, Milton Avery, and Kandinsky. I try to synthesize my vision of art into a single image.
