Sculpture "The Artist's Mask" Sculpture

Imperfection, probably the most underestimated quality nowadays. Love to study my body marks, looking at each sign I remember precious episodes of my life. So probably my first scar I'd received at age of 5, when we were joking with my father at midnight. He was trying to catch me, I ran to my dark bedroom and jumped on the bed where was my small iron kitchen left, and my front was cut by it's angle. It was a lot of tears and blood, and we spent quite all the night at hospital and walked back home by foot through the city at early morning, but now, 40 years later when I look at this scar I still feel my father hugging me. I believe all our scars it's precious gift, lifetime experience that helps us move on. This Artist's Mask is unique handmade ceramic art object from the series "Magic Garden" created by Italian artist Olga Buneeva. This piece was inspirited by the antiques roman statue's faces. This sculpture was created from clay of Umbria region then decorated by semitrasparent glaze with metal elements, the back side is covered with turqueise glaze with pink border.
