Seahorse Sculpture

Once upon a time, over 66 million years ago when lands and seas hum with live of enormous reptiles – within southern Europe, a long-forgotten ocean was home for billions of trillions smaller creatures. Sponges, corals, crinoids, algae, foraminiferas and many others were generating millimeter by millimeter new rocks – limestones. One of these lovely creamy limestone was carved in presenting seahorse. Sea – the limestone – seahorse harmonious relationship and… paradox. Because these animals arose not until 23 million years ago! Such a small time travel :). Yes, yes geology is intriguing, isn’t it? Authors: Me and Mother Nature. Material is limestone, so is not recommended hold it outside. Acid rains may cause gradual devastation. P.S. This sculpture is unsigned, but I attach certificate of authenticity.
