In the drawings I try to move the viewer to some self-reflection. I want to make the viewer become aware that in life, all should be put in a perspective, and that we are not always that important. I want to get a smile on ones face, hence the use of colors and the simple but happy creatures on display. All works are handmade in a stoneware or earthenware clay. The drawings are made in colored slips and or glazes. This stoneware has been fired to a temperature of 1230°C, where the clay and glazes fuse. The use of a wood or gas kiln makes it possible to fire in a reduction atmosphere (oxigen poor), wich gives the surfaces their caracteristic vibrant look.

In a previous life, I was a sailor and very much in love with the sea. The sailor part has long gone, but the love for the sea has always remained. This is mainly where my inspiration comes from. When shaping an object in clay on the potter's wheel, at the same time a canvas to paint on arises. In this way, my work is of double creating pleasure.
