About The Artwork
I am originally from Texas but have lived in Los Angeles for over 20 years. This is a common view here in Los Angeles; hillsides dotted with homes. My sculptural work is piñata-based. This piece is from my Painting Piñata series where I layer and blend hand-cut crepe paper to 'paint' on the surface of the piñata form. The form for this piñata is a cracker box that was covered in paper mache.
