Small reliefs: impressions of Seeds and Fruit of the Middle East Sculpture

The price and size listed is for each individual piece; each one has a plate hanger on the back and could be hung on a wall. The sizes vary slightly as they are all individual pieces. You may order as many as you want and you can specify if you prefer 'seeds' or 'fruit' or identify which ones from the photos. The price will be more appealing if you buy more than one because Saatchi adds money for postage and packing per item. Seeds and other Natural produce offer a promise of hope, of renewal, of something shared between all people. This organic source material is very connected to the land and therefore to the identities of all. I express visually this connection to the land in a visceral way. This work could be described as a form of figurative abstraction. I pressed Porcelain in to the seeds and fruit to create small-scale impressions, often fragile and transparent - like the seeds of hope themselves.
