About The Artwork
Work made for a group exhibit titled: Icons. Inspired by Doctor Who. Doctor Who as a modern icon. Hélène Koopmans explores the contrast between the inside and the outside world. With minimal means an interior space is suggested in combination with an outside world: Who or what is on the inside, who or what is on the outside? By combining different, essentially non-matching, realistic images, alienating worlds arise. As a traveller through time, the spectator could become involved in these worlds.
