About The Artwork
I have been working on this series of magical boat sculptures for a couple of months now. They are made from wood, paint, plexiglass, found objects, parts of older discarded sculptures and the remnants of my furniture making endeavors. Originally I was inspired by Cy Twombly's white sculptures, but I carried his look into my wooden ships. A dream like quality exudes from each one of them. They are great to handle and will slowly age if you do so.
