Steampunk Girl Sculpture

This Art Doll is inspired by the fantasy world called Steampunk. Steampunk is a genre of science fiction or science fantasy that incorporates technology and aesthetic designs inspired by 19th-century industrial steam-powered machinery. Steampunk most recognizably features anachronistic technologies or retro-futuristic inventions as people in the 19th century might have envisioned them, and is likewise rooted in the era's perspective on fashion, culture, architectural style, and art. Such technology may include fictional machines like those found in the works of H. G. Wells and Jules Verne. Other examples of steampunk contain alternative-history-style presentations of such technology as steam cannons, lighter-than-air airships, analogue computers. This is my first attempt to enter to this exiting world with my steampunk girl. Many other sculptures will follow. The sculpture is built on a strong wire armature and is created with a good combination of several kinds of clay for their strength and endurance.There is no use of any mold! Besides the clay, some of the doll's clothing, contain plastic and metal pieces and some hardware nuts, bits and pieces.It is painted with heat oils and the base it stands on is also handmade. Every sculpture is unique and one of a kind.t takes about 20 to 30 days to complete one of these Ooak Art Dolls.
