The Father ( lion) Am not a father but as a kid i saw the actions of a father. been a father is one of the toughest positions to be in. the fear of not been able to take care of your kids the right way hunts you all the time. A father will go through fire just to make sure his family is cared for. A Father will look at danger in the eyes and feel fear. As a child of a father who was Miner, i saw scars on my father's body. this made me know what it is meant to be a father. The work is a relief sculpture piece carved from wood. the work is in two layers. the first layer on top contains the carving of the lion head which is in two separate wood mounted on a larger board. Concave and convex patterns have been crafted of the larger board. which signify the path and difficulty a father goes through.

Am a sculptor who deals with wood and metal combination (assemblage) to create a sculptures. My philosophy about my works is TOGETHERNESS. Togetherness because when people come together to help each other, something beautiful is always created. Because of this, I decided to use two different materials (wood and metal) to create sculptures. This two mediums has nothing in common and yet I combine them to create sculptures. I think about quality conscious, I play well with others, self-motivated and hardworking. When producing a piece I make sure that all my concentration is on that piece so that it will come out well. Sometimes I ask for opinions on the piece of producing and I make sure that whatever idea or advice I receive I consider it. When friends comes to me about ideas and advice I also do my best not to disappoint them. Distinctively, I sometimes think about people needs before my own and time consciousness, professionalism is something I do not play with.
