THE HUMAN FOODPRINT explores the meaning of art as a message courier. As art is not only beauty and color but representative of our society and its flaws. The plastic packagings which carry our food, are carelessly thrown away and have an enormous impact on our environment even if their life in our hands is temporary. By reproducing significant amounts of the same plaster objects and painting them individually, they become visible, and they occupy the equivalent space of its original eco-unfriendly version. Their physical presence is supposed to provoke awareness. The Bright, fluorescent, and almost unnatural color selection, is in nature used by animals to warn predators about their toxicity or to draw attention to themselves. THE HUMAN FOODPRINT uses this technique to invite the spectator and start the discussion about the topic of plastic pollution. This series of artworks is strongly representative of our core intentions and inspirations and is our catalyst to deal with one of the current climate and environmental issues artistically.

They draw inspiration from queerness, homosexuality, pornography, pop culture, and exciting encounters in their home base in Berlin. The name "Greif Lazic" is an homage to the artists' mothers; these are their maiden names.
