Opening a stone to see inside, exposing a surface that's been hidden since the beginning of time, revealing a hidden view of the universe, are the things that excite me. I share my excitement by carving the stone into an asbstract shape that balances delicately at an impossible angle to force the viewer to reexamine their assumptions about the physical world.
