About The Artwork
This sparkling diorama is part of Lisa Swerling's series of miniature worlds in boxes, "Glass Cathedrals." This artbox, containing 25 protestors holding miniaturized signs really made and used at The Women's March 2017, was inspired by the people who've been moved to action to protect our rights, our diversity and our planet. I made one protester every day for Trump's first 100 days. YOU choose the signs that are relevant to your concerns, from a selection of about 150. The figures will differ from the version pictured, but will represent the diversity and character of the crowds at the marches. This Glass Cathedral is an open edition, i.e. it is not a limited edition, and each one is made to commission.
