About The Artwork
One of my personal favourite subject matters is the “Toro”. Therefore “TORO LX” the 60th bull inspired sculpture I made, also the latest, none yet after this one. This piece is on average life size, looking at it one gets the impact of these animals. Contemplating different cultures with the nail embroidery on the for-head reminiscent of ancient traditions. What to do with leftover/ cut off’s of wood. Go big or go home. The horns are natural/real cattle horns that is attached to the wood with epoxy and steel spike. The colour, surely some kind of energy drink had a subconscious influence. A big statement piece.
