Tropical Forest Chameleon Mug Sculpture

I was never any good at throwing pieces on a potters wheel. Whenever I did throw on the wheel, I would always improvise for my lack of professional skills at wheel throwing and add something unique to make the basic piece an organic piece. For this piece, I attempted to throw a basic coffee mug, but as usual, it didn't turn out how I wanted it to. I used the rough sandy texture to make it almost a seashell kind of appearance and added pointed edges and a lip piece to drink from it. Twisting coils into looking like vines for the handle also added to the unique tropical look. To top it all off, I hand sculpted a chameleon to be climbing out of the mug, and sculpted all the detailed scales on its body as well. The finished piece looks like a mug from the Amazon Rain Forest in my opinion.
