About The Artwork
Made from recycled metal scraps of copper, brass and wire mixed together with silk that has been painted, cut and singed to form the wings. Created as my commentary on the effort of trying to keep hope alive in the current political and global climate. Formed as a dove with an intentional nod to its symbolic meaning of peace/hope. The bird shows signs of wear and tear purposefully alluding that in this current day and age, we seem no closer, or smarter in trying to achieve world peace.
