About The Artwork

This artwork belongs to the artist's Obsessive Compulsive Disorder Gifts series; one facet of "Pandemonium of Versatile Objects", Laurent La Gamba’s most recent project. This project explores mass production and consumerism and the role they play in formulating memories and identity, through the visual coding of celebratory gift bows. The Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder gifts series plays on the contrast between the symbolic gift mode in Western society and a selection of various objects from consumer society, thereby creating a sense of nostalgia and embarrassment / guilt. This original artwork is hand made, signed by the artist on the reverse and accompanied by a signed certificate of authenticity.
