About The Artwork
I've always had a fascination with mechanical things and with all things carnival. Wanda was born half girl and half machine to poor itinerant farmers during the great depression. Unable to care for her, Wanda's parents gave her to a passing carnival when she was just two years old, in exchange for the promise of a small remittance. Wanda has ever since worked as a side show attraction. Her only memory of mother and father is in the faded photograph they left her.
