About The Artwork

The name of the sculpture is inspired by a phrase from the movie "Robin Hood" - Rise and rise again until lambs become lions. This sculpture from the "Fairy Tales" series is dedicated to the process of a boy becoming a man. --------------------------------------- "Fairy Tales" was inspired by my son. When he was little, I composed fairy tales for him based on the myths of ancient Greece, where the main characters were he and his best friend. Based on these tales, a series of 6 sculptures was created. The first edition of the series is in the collection of the memorial museum-workshop of the sculptor Zaire Azgur. _________________________ Natural patina.

Hi guys! Since I am from Belarus, my account has been blocked for sales, but I am against the war and support Ukraine. If you like my sculptures, write to me on Instagram @oganov.sculpture or email oganovsergey@tut.by PEACE ------------------------------- I was born in 1974 in the family of the famous Belarusian sculptor Lev Oganov. I began to take my first steps into the world of art while I was schoolboy, helping my father in the studio. Graduated from the I.E. Repin Academy of Arts (St. Petersburg), He provided me an excellent theoretical and practical basis for the further development of my talent. I'm the author of numerous iconic monumental sculptures dedicated to the historical figures of Belarus. My easel sculptures are a symbiosis of the classical school of sculpture, a new look at traditional subjects, and the author’s technique of working with bronze. Many of them are in private collections in the USA, Europe and the East, as well as in the collections of several national museums in Belarus.
